The Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005 came into force on the 6th April 2006 . The regulations have reduced the amount of noise exposure employees can legally be exposed to.There are now levels at which the employer has to take action to comply with the regulations, examples of actions needed at 85db :-

1. Provision of Hearing Protection

2. Hearing Protection Zones

3. Provide Training / Information & Instruction

4. Health Surveillance
